Bridget’s Orthodontic Journey in Bridgeman Downs

We would like to share Bridget’s smile transformation journey. Bridget is our lovely patient from Bridgeman Downs who didn’t like the lower crowding of her teeth and upper general alignment.

Dental crowding occurs when teeth compete for space in the mouth, causing them to grow improperly and become twisted and misaligned. Ideally, teeth have just the right amount of space to grow without crowding or leaving gaps between them.

In Bridget’s case, crowding occurred in her lower teeth, causing a misaligned appearance.

To give her the smile makeover she wanted, we used Clear Aligners and Interproximal Reduction (IPR) for both her upper and lower arches. IPR involves mechanically removing enamel from between the teeth to aid orthodontic treatments, such as correcting crowding or reshaping the area between neighbouring teeth. This technique was used in Bridget’s treatment to help her teeth adjust and move to a more suitable position, allowing them to grow straighter and more aligned.

The Result

After less than two years of treatment with clear aligners and interproximal reduction, Bridget achieved the beautiful smile she had always dreamed of. Her aesthetic concerns have been resolved, and her smile is stunning!
